Eurostar – Paris to London

On all my previous trips to Europe, I had never taken the Eurostar. This time, I finally did — from Paris to London.
I had an early breakfast meeting in Paris with an ex-Googler and a dinner in London with a senior Deloitte partner. The train turned out to be the most efficient and comfortable option.

Paris Gare du Nord was incredibly crowded — probably the busiest station I’ve seen outside India. Thankfully, I had a Premier ticket, which gave me access to the lounge overlooking the platforms — a quiet oasis amidst the chaos.

Once onboard, the experience was excellent. The food was surprisingly good, the service efficient, and the Wi-Fi strong enough to catch up on work while crossing the Channel.
Sometimes, slowing down and taking the train reminds you that travel can be as much about the journey as the destination. I do find moments of silence and peace even on flights - but much more on a train.
It also reminded me of train journeys in my childhood from Nanded->Mumbai.
